It was narrated from Sa’ibah, the freed slave woman of Fakih bin Mughirah, that she entered upon ‘Aishah and saw a spear in her house. She said:
“O Mother of the Believers, what do you do with this?” She said: “We kill these house lizards with it, for the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) told us that when Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, there was no beast on earth that did not try to put it out, apart from the house lizard that blew on it. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that they should be killed.” (Ibn majah 4210/3231)
This highlights the evil of this type of animal and the harm that it causes, as its evil reached such an extent that the Shaytaan used it and prompted it to blow into the fire into which Ibraaheem (peace be upon him) was thrown, and it tried to make the fire flare up, so in general it is one of the venomous and harmful creatures.This is not to be killed because of the sin of its ancestor; rather it is to be killed because it is harmful. Those that are found in houses and those that are found on farms are the same.
Most people tend to ignore the ubiquitous wall gecko, which they usually say is harmless and does not bother body. They only stake locations waiting for an unfortunate insect or cockroach that would come their way, and they would make a meal of it.

As investigations later revealed, the mother of the family had prepared a pot of soup and probably left the cover of the pot slightly open, to allow the steam from the soup to evaporate and the soup cool down before being covered. While she was away, a gecko fell into it and died.
The woman and her children later ate the soup. The next day, they all died from poisoning. Nobody could immediately fathom that they ate poison. In the course of investigation, the dead gecko was seen in the soup pot. Apparently the poison from the animal had leached into the soup. Ordinarily, the skin of the gecko is highly poisonous.
That is why you must create a plan on how to kill all forms of gecko in your home. Do everything possible to get rid of this dangerous animal from your home. To eradicate it totally in your home, just mix salt and garlic and put it in different corners of your room. You will never see them again.
Muslim (2240) narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever kills a wazagh with the first blow will have such and such of hasanah. Whoever kills it with the second blow will have such and such of hasanah, less than the first. Whoever kills it with the third blow will have such and such of hasanah, less than the second.”
